Beds are a cost-effective way to minimize replacement impact idlers and frames. Impact beds can be designed to fit almost any position.
Impact rollers can also be used in place of impact beds. However, impact rollers have greater limitations in impact and service life, when compared to impact beds. Impact idler frames cannot be produced to absorb the same amount of energy as impact beds in high impact zones.
